A Plein Air Sketch Today

It was a little warmer today so I did a sketch at James A Reed Wildlife Area. This was an overcast day.  This is a 12” by 9” oil on hard board.

Two Paintings Juried into the Taos Art Museum at Fechin House 2016 Gala Exhibition and Auction

I have two paintings that have been juried into the Taos Art Museum at Fechin House 2016 Gala Exhibition and Auction starting this month and ending at the Gala Auction on August 27.  They were submitted in the category of "Following Fechin: artwork inspired by/in the style of Nicolai Fechin”.  This is a fundraiser with auction proceeds benefiting the Taos Art Museum at Fechin.

Both paintings are oil paintings measuring 16” wide by 12” high.

This is a view set in south central Colorado. It's a 5 by 7 inch oil painting on hardboard.
