A Plein Air Sketch Today
It was a little warmer today so I did a sketch at James A Reed Wildlife Area. This was an overcast day. This is a 12” by 9” oil on hard board.

Three Paintings Selected for the "Flora" Group Art Show at the Vanessa Lacy Gallery
I am honored that three of my paintings have been selected for the "Flora" Art Show at the Vanessa Lacy Gallery. The show opening will be February 9th, 5 - 9 PM and runs through March 3rd. Live music and refreshments will be provided at the opening reception. The gallery is located at 1600 Genessee, Kansas City, MO.
My paintings are of wild flowers in native prairie grass. Two were done in plein air and one was done in the studio.

Painting to Taos Art Museum
This painting juried into the 2017 August Night Gala Taos Art Museum at Fechin House, 227 Paseo del Pueblo Norte, Taos, New Mexico. It’s a 14″ by 20″ oil painting on canvas. The painting is titled “Pedernal Mountain October”. The event occurs in August and is a fund raiser for the museum.
